21 Prospect League players were selected in the 2025 Major League Baseball Amateur Player Draft, including the League's 5th first-round pick since 2021.
MAHOMET, Ill. – The Prospect League is proud to announce that 21 players with Prospect League ties were selected during Major League Baseball's 2025 Amateur Player Draft.
Since 1963, the Prospect League, formerly known as the CICL, has seen over 200 alumni reach Major League Baseball and over 800 alumni play professional baseball. The 2025 MLB Draft featured 21 more Prospect League players join the professional ranks, including the League's 5th first-round selection since 2021.
Day One
Brendan Summerhill of the University of Arizona was selected 42nd overall by the Tampa Bay Rays.
Summerhill was a member of the 2022 Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp.
Day Two
Jake Munroe of the University of Louisville was selected 109th overall by the Los Angeles Angels.
Munroe was a member of the 2022 Normal CornBelters and 2023 Thrillville Thrillbillies.
Nolan Sailors of Creighton University was selected 128th overall by the Kansas City Royals.
Sailors was a member of the 2023 Normal CornBelters.
Kade Snell of the University of Alabama was selected 151st overall by the Chicago Cubs.
Snell was a member of the 2021 Danville Dans.
Paxton Kling of Penn State University was selected 205th overall by the Texas Rangers.
Kling was a member of the 2022 Danville Dans.
Jake McCutcheon of Missouri State University was selected 288th overall by the Miami Marlins.
McCutcheon was a member of the 2022 O'Fallon Hoots and the 2023 Jackson Rockabillys.
Cole Gilley of Indiana University was selected 311th overall by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Gilley was a member of the 2022 REX.
Harrison Bodendorf of Oklahoma State University was selected 312th overall by the Cleveland Guardians.
