2025 MLB Draft Features 21 Prospect League Picks

MAHOMET, Ill. – The Prospect League is proud to announce that 21 players with Prospect League ties were selected during Major League Baseball's 2025 Amateur Player Draft.

Since 1963, the Prospect League, formerly known as the CICL, has seen over 200 alumni reach Major League Baseball and over 800 alumni play professional baseball. The 2025 MLB Draft featured 21 more Prospect League players join the professional ranks, including the League's 5th first-round selection since 2021.

Day One

Brendan Summerhill of the University of Arizona was selected 42nd overall by the Tampa Bay Rays.
Summerhill was a member of the 2022 Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp.

Day Two

Jake Munroe of the University of Louisville was selected 109th overall by the Los Angeles Angels.
Munroe was a member of the 2022 Normal CornBelters and 2023 Thrillville Thrillbillies.

Nolan Sailors of Creighton University was selected 128th overall by the Kansas City Royals.
Sailors was a member of the 2023 Normal CornBelters.

Kade Snell of the University of Alabama was selected 151st overall by the Chicago Cubs.
Snell was a member of the 2021 Danville Dans.

Paxton Kling of Penn State University was selected 205th overall by the Texas Rangers.
Kling was a member of the 2022 Danville Dans.

Jake McCutcheon of Missouri State University was selected 288th overall by the Miami Marlins.
McCutcheon was a member of the 2022 O'Fallon Hoots and the 2023 Jackson Rockabillys.

Cole Gilley of Indiana University was selected 311th overall by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Gilley was a member of the 2022 REX.

Harrison Bodendorf of Oklahoma State University was selected 312th overall by the Cleveland Guardians.
Bodendorf was a member of the 2022 Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp.

Jacob Frost of Kansas State University was selected 315th overall by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Frost was a member of the 2022 O'Fallon Hoots.

Jared Spencer of the University of Texas was selected 322nd overall by the Toronto Blue Jays.
Spencer was a member of the 2022 REX.

Cameron Keshock of Samford University was selected 353rd overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Keshcok was a member of the 2024 Full Count Rhythm.

Brayden Smith of Oklahoma State University was selected 394th overall by the Baltimore Orioles.
Smith was a member of the 2023 Springfield Lucky Horseshoes.

Brendan Brock of Southwestern Illinois College was selected 424th overall by the Milwaukee Brewers.
Brock was a member of the 2024 Thrillville Thrillbillies.

Jake Casey of Kent State University was selected 442nd overall by the Toronto Blue Jays.
Casey was a member of the 2022 Johnstown Mill Rats.

Seth Clausen of the University of Minnesota was selected 467th overall by the Colorado Rockies.
Clausen was a member of the 2022 Clinton LumberKings.

RJ Shunck of the University of Toledo was selected 468th overall by the Miami Marlins.
Shunch was a member of the 2025 Thrillville Thrillbillies.

Eddie King Jr. of the University of Louisville was selected 473rd overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
King Jr. was a member of the 2022 Alton River Dragons.

Garrett Langrell of Creighton University was selected 476th overall by the San Francisco Giants.
Langrell was a member of the 2021 Burlington Bees.

Casey Hintz of the University of Arizona was selected 482nd overall by the Seattle Mariners.
Hintz was a member of the 2023 Clinton LumberKings.

Jay Dill of Troy University was selected 530th overall by the Athletics.
Dill was a member of the 2024 Lafayette Aviators.

Owen Puk of Florida International University was selected 531st overall by the Washington Nationals.
