Week Five Players of the Week Announced
Prospect League announces the ArmCare.com Pitcher of the Week and the Hitter of the Week for the fifth week of the 2025 season.
MAHOMET, Ill. – The Prospect League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for week five of the 2025 season from June 24 to June 30.
The Week 5 Hitter of the Week is Kendric Sorgius from the Dubois County Bombers and Oakland City University.
In 5 games and 20 at-bats this past week, Sorgius hit .500 with a league-leading 10 runs scored and 11 runs batted in to go along with 10 hits, 4 doubles, 1 triple, and a 1.360 on-base + slugging percentage.
Sorgius appeared in 57 games this past spring for Oakland City, batting .319 with 58 hits, 44 runs scored, and 56 runs batted in.
The Week 5 ArmCare.com Pitcher of the Week is Ethan Duff from the Johnstown Mill Rats and Frederick Community College.
In 2 games and 7.0 innings pitched this past week, Duff recorded a 0.00 ERA with 2 hits, 2 walks, a league-leading 10 strikeouts, and 1 save.
Duff pitched in 15 games this past spring for Frederick, working 54.1 innings on the mound with a 4-3 record, 75 strikeouts, and a 5.80 ERA.
